Selim İleri, one of the most prominent authors of Turkish contemporary literature and the owner of important literature awards, will take us to a journey through his special memoirs about literature and books that have a deep influence in improving human soul.

Author 

Master author of contemporary Turkish Literature, entitled as “state artist”  by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in year 1998. In addition to his works in different literary genres such as short stories, novels, essays and critiques, he has written many television and film scripts.  After publishing his first book Boundless Solitude (Cumartesi Yalnızlığı) at the age of 19, he authored many more well-beloved books. Edebiyatımızda Sevdiğim Romanlar Kılavuzu (Guide for Novels I liked Most in Turkish Literature), is his last work published in 2015.

Having received many prestigious awards for his novels, short stories, and film scripts, Selim İleri also writes literature columns for newspapers. Due to his lifetime contributions to Turkish literature, Selim İleri was awarded with Aydın Doğan Prize for short story in 2012.
